Package
Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid liquid is ladled in seamless steel drums, of which the capacity includes 9kg and 50kg, or other amounts upon request.
Storage and transportation
The steel drums should be tightly closed and be stored in a cool and dry warehouse where the temperature of above 30℃ is inappropriate.
The steel drums of CF3SO3H must be far away from heat sources and be isolated from oxidizing agents and alkalies.
The steel drums of CF3SO3H must be transported according to requirements of dangerous cargo. The steel drums should be shipped on vehicle roads or in containers.
Emergent handling for leakage
In a case of leaking of CF3SO3H, working personnel must withdraw from the leakage area immediately. The burned personnel should be sent to the hospital promptly after flushed the burned parts with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Personnel must be wear protective equipment, preferable with self-contained barotropic respiratory, to handle the leaking site as early as possible. Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container.

Uses
The CF3SO3H , one of the superacids, has excellent resistance to oxidation and reduction reactions. Owing to the special properties of the CF3SO3H it is used in the following applications:
1 In the plastics industry, as an oligomerisation-polymerisation catalyst, as well as for the improvement of methyl-silicone rubber.
2 In the fuel industry as a protonisation catalyst
3 In various areas of indications in the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. nucleosides, antibiotics, steroids, proteins, glycosides as a catalyst in Friedel-Crafts alkylation and acylation
4 In syntheses of herbicides and growth regulators,
5 In syntheses of vitamins,
6 In the sugar industry
7 For special reactions in technology and in the laboratory
